Reinsalu supports providing Ukraine with F-16 fighters

Estonian Foreign Minister Urmas Reinsalu believes that Ukraine's Western allies should be more proactive in providing Ukraine with weapons, including fighter jets, to ensure that it achieves victory as soon as possible.

Reinsalu said this in an interview with RBC-Ukraine.

"As for the F-16, pilots are pilots, and we are not talking about any spacecraft. You have airplane pilots, and they will be trained in a short time. And what is very important is that these F-16s can also be an air defense platform because their speed can also be used to launch missiles against the Russian S-300," he said.

According to the Estonian foreign minister, a particular type of weapon can give Ukraine an advantage at a certain point on the battlefield, but from the strategic perspective, the West needs to invest more in Ukraine's victory.
