The Russian Federation produces artillery shells three times faster and cheaper than Ukraine's Western allies, Sky News reports.

It is known that the aggressor country can produce or restore 4.5 million rounds of ammunition, while the United States and European countries plan to produce 1.3 million rounds.

“At the same time, the cost of producing a 155-mm shell in NATO countries is about four thousand dollars per unit. Whereas Russia produces a 152-mm shell (used by the Russian army) for a thousand dollars,” the report says.

It is worth noting that for every shot fired by the Ukrainian Armed Forces, Russian troops can fire about five shells in response. Ukrainian defenders are short of shells, so they try to make every one a success.

“Often, with one, two, or three shells, we can completely destroy the target,” said First Lieutenant Kostyantyn, an artillery battery commander with the 57th Brigade.
