Rheinmetall already produces artillery shells for Ukraine
The German arms company Rheinmetall already produces artillery shells for Ukraine. The concern also receives new orders for such weapons.
This was stated by the Prime Minister of Ukraine Denys Shmyhal, reports RBC-Ukraine regarding the meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers on December 5.
The head of the Ukrainian government spoke about the development of the defense-industrial complex of Ukraine and noted that in October, during a visit to Berlin, together with the Chancellor of Germany, Olaf Scholz, "they launched the cooperation between the Ukrainian defense industry and the German arms concern Rheinmetall."
"The company already produces artillery shells for Ukraine and receives new orders for them. Soon, we plan to launch the production of armored vehicles on Ukrainian territory," the official said.
According to Shmygal, this is a "flagship project of unification" of the forces of Ukraine and European gunsmiths "to achieve a just peace and our common security."
The Prime Minister also announced plans to focus on technology transfer, investments in design developments, new production, and Military Tech in the future.
