Ciolacu noted that in this context, Romania's strengths are security, geographical proximity, and sea, river, rail, and road connections. Such opportunities may be of interest to American companies that want to participate in the reconstruction of Ukraine.

The Romanian prime minister emphasized that his country would continue to support Ukraine as long as necessary, with the reconstruction process in mind.

For his part, US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken thanked the Romanian prime minister for helping Ukraine and for cooperation on the Black Sea.

"Our countries also work closely together on civilian issues, we will work very closely together in the future, and the effects will be seen in the progress that will be made," Blinken said.
