This was reported by RBC-Ukraine regarding Deputy Energy Minister Svitlana Hrynchuk.

"Sumy region, as well as other frontline regions such as Kharkiv, Kherson, Chernihiv, Donetsk, and others, are constantly under Russian shelling. Almost every day we have some damage to both power lines and generation facilities," she said.

The deputy minister noted that after the last shelling in the Sumy region, power engineers managed to restore electricity to 2,000 people. However, 63 settlements, or almost 4 thousand consumers, were still without electricity.

"This is a situation not only in Sumy region, as I said, but in all frontline regions, and periodically during this entire period of Russia's armed aggression, the period of Russian attacks on the power grid, we have more than 360 settlements without electricity," emphasized Hrynchuk.

She added that because of the danger, power engineers cooperate with the military and only with their permission begin to carry out repair work.

Recently, the occupants attacked one of DTEK's thermal power plants near the frontline, injuring 9 power engineers.

In total, the occupiers have attacked the company's thermal power plants more than 40 times this winter.
