Russia deploys six combat helicopters to Belarus

Six Russian Mi-24 and Mi-8 combat helicopters arrived in Belarus last week.

This was reported by RBC-Ukraine with reference to Belaruski Gayun on Telegram.

As the monitoring channel reminded, yesterday, May 26, it became known that on May 25, Russian Mi-24 and Mi-8 aircraft arrived at the Belarusian airfield Baranovichi.

According to updated data, Russia has deployed more helicopters to Belarus.

“On May 25, a total of 8 Mi-24 and Mi-8 helicopters of the Russian Aerospace Forces arrived at Baranovichi from Seshcha (Russia),” Gayun writes.

In total, the following Russian aircraft are currently stationed in Baranovychi:

  • 2 Su-24MR4 reconnaissance aircraft;
  • 4 Su-30SM fighters;
  • eight Mi-24 and Mi-8 helicopters.
