Russia has been warned about the terrorist attack on ZNPP

Jul 4, 2023

Russia has received warnings from a number of countries, including those that are not allies of Ukraine, about the inadmissibility of its plans to blow up the Zaporizhzhia nuclear power plant. This was stated by Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba during a telethon on Monday, July 3.

"I think we have received, not only from our traditional friends and partners but also from other countries that consider any use of the nuclear element in a conflict unacceptable," the minister said.

It can be assumed that this is a hint to China or India.

According to him, the most important thing is that Ukraine has proved the Russians' plan to the world.

"That is, now it will be much more difficult for them to implement it. I think they are already rewriting it, coming up with some new plan," Kuleba said, adding that Ukrainian intelligence will get it too.

As a reminder, on June 22, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said that Russia was preparing to commit a terrorist attack at the Zaporizhzhia NPP, which could lead to a radiation release.

On Monday, the top command of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and Energoatom's management met and worked out the issue of information exchange between the military and energy sector to plan possible scenarios at the Zaporizhzhia NPP.
