Russia must pay for destruction in Ukraine - US Treasury Department

Russia must pay for the damage it caused to Ukraine during the full-scale war, U.S. Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen said.
She said this in an interview with CNN.
Yellen noted that negotiations are currently underway on a mechanism to force Russia to pay Ukraine for the damage caused by the war.
"This is a responsibility that I think the international community expects Russia to bear. This is what we are discussing with our partners, but there are legal restrictions on what we can do with frozen Russian assets," she said.
