Russians are pulling "Sontsepik" TOS near Bakhmut

The situation in Bakhmut, Donetsk region, remains critical. The Russians are changing their tactics and deploying heavy flamethrower systems TOS "Sontsepik" there.

This was stated by military expert Oleh Zhdanov, noting that the elite of Russian troops is currently gathered around Bakhmut. Unian reports.

"The fighting is mainly for the city center. The enemy is trying to break through to the railroad. The fighting is already on the outskirts. The situation is also complicated by the fact that the enemy is sending more and more fresh forces to capture Bakhmut. There are two parachute regiments of the 106th Airborne Division, the 51st Separate Motorized Rifle Division, and units of the 98th Airborne Division are being pulled up there. Artillery has been pulled up there. Now there is information that the enemy is deploying heavy flamethrower systems "Sontsepik" there," Zhdanov said.

According to him, Russian troops near Bakhmut have returned to the use of the "firewall" tactic:

"Scorched earth tactics. Aviation and artillery are working together. The artillery is using heavy flamethrower systems to drive our troops out of their positions. And these are the moments that complicate the situation in Bakhmut."
