Russians reduced intensity of the offensive in some areas in Donbas

Nov 25, 2022

In the east, the situation remains the most difficult, as the Russians are using all kinds of weapons there.

However, in some parts of the front, the enemy has significantly reduced its intensity due to weather conditions.

This was reported by RBC-Ukraine with reference to the speaker of the Eastern Group of Forces, Sergei Cherevatiy, in a TV marathon.

"The eastern direction continues to be the main direction of the enemy's strike. Their most brutal actions continue there; the enemy uses all kinds of weapons that he has. First of all, it is the artillery of all calibers. Also, tanks, multiple rocket launchers, and aviation," Cherevaty said.

However, according to him, despite this, for more than four months the enemy cannot break through the Ukrainian defense near Bakhmut and in the Avdiivka direction (Donetsk region).

"Undoubtedly, weather conditions affect (the enemy's offensive potential - ed.). First of all, this autumn slush, it first makes it impossible to use armored wheeled vehicles, and later tracked vehicles, such as infantry fighting vehicles, and tanks, or complicates their use. In some parts of the front, we do observe that the enemy has greatly reduced its intensity. But at the same time, in many areas, attacks continue," Cherevaty noted.

It is noteworthy that the Defense Ministry recently urged the Ukrainians to continue the offensive in winter to take the most of their advantages. They noted that the Armed Forces have an advantage in training, equipment, and high quality of the military against demoralized, poorly trained, and ill-equipped Russians.
