It is noted that Saudi Arabia, the world's largest oil exporter, is watching with concern the launch of Houthi missiles by US ships.

Two sources familiar with Saudi Arabia's views said that Riyadh's message of restraint to Washington was aimed at avoiding further escalation. The sources added that Riyadh is still satisfied with the way the United States is handling the situation.

Saudi Arabia also insists on a ceasefire in the Gaza Strip. According to several sources, Saudi Arabia's international policy is aimed at promoting regional stability after years of confrontation with Iran and its allies.

Focusing on expanding and diversifying its economy, Riyadh has also normalized relations with Tehran this year and is seeking to withdraw from the war it has been waging with the Houthis in Yemen for almost nine years.

Sources said that Saudi Arabia is eager to advance the peace process in Yemen, fearing that it could be derailed.
