Scholz invented an excuse for refusing to give the Taurus to Ukraine

Germany is not ready to transfer Taurus long-range missiles to Ukraine, because they can be used to strike Moscow.

This was stated by German Chancellor Olaf Scholz, RBC-Ukraine reports regarding Tagesschau.

"A cruise missile with a flight range of 500 kilometers (we are talking about Taurus - ed.) is a weapon that, if used incorrectly, can reach a specific target somewhere in Moscow," Scholz said.

According to him, Britain and France, which have already handed over cruise missiles to Ukraine, "took care to know what was landing and where."

He once again stated that the deployment of such missiles in Ukraine would require the participation of Germany. And "there is no question about it."

The chancellor added that he was annoyed by "criticism" over the refusal to provide Taurus to Ukrainian defense forces since Germany supplies Ukraine with far more weapons than almost all other countries.

As Scholz noted, if the US Congress does not allocate new funding to help Ukraine, some countries will have to make more efforts.
