German Chancellor Olaf Scholz said he would not go hiking in the Alps with Russian President Vladimir Putin.
The German chancellor said this at a forum in the German mountainous region of Algau the day before, DW reports.
Scholz was asked with whom of his colleagues he would go on a seven-day mountain hike. In response, the chancellor said that he could imagine such a hike with French President Emmanuel Macron and Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez.
"That's also someone who I think could keep up in terms of sport and do it," Scholz said of Sanchez, adding that there are several other people who are pretty good.
