This was reported by RBC-Ukraine regarding Reuters.

The Italian Ministry of Defense noted that the Caio Duilio, which helps protect trade routes from Yemeni Houthi air attacks, committed an act of self-defense.

A drone with characteristics similar to those used in previous attacks was located at a distance of about 6 km from the Italian ship and flew in its direction.

Italian Defense Minister Guido Crossetto said that the Houthis' attacks, which are intended to demonstrate solidarity with the Palestinian militant group Hamas in the war against Israel, are part of a hybrid warfare strategy against some countries.

"The Houthi terrorist attacks are a serious violation of international law and an attack on the security of maritime transportation on which our economy depends," he said.
