Spain joins EU deal to purchase ammunition for Ukraine

On Wednesday, Spain announced that it has joined the initiative approved the day before to purchase one million artillery shells for Ukraine within a year.
This is stated in a statement by the Spanish Ministry of Defense, which is available to Yevropeiska Pravda.
"After completing the necessary administrative formalities, the Minister of Defense (of Spain - ed.) signed a project agreement on Wednesday on the joint purchase of ammunition within the European Union," it said.
Thus, Spain became the nineteenth country to participate in the project.
