Spain to hand over 19 Leopard tanks and Patriot missiles to Ukraine
Spain will provide Ukraine with 19 Leopard 2A4 tanks and about ten Patriot anti-aircraft missiles as part of a new $1.23 billion military aid package.

According to the newspaper, in addition to Leopard tanks and Patriot air defense systems, Spain will also provide Kyiv with anti-missile equipment and ammunition. According to El Pais, this assistance is "unprecedented."
The aid package is expected to be announced during President Zelensky's visit to Madrid.
On May 27, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy will meet with Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez in Madrid. The two leaders will hold a press conference after the meeting at 12:00 local time. After his meeting with Sanchez, Zelenskiy will meet with King Felipe VI of Spain, the royal court said.
This trip was scheduled for May 17, but on May 15 it became known that Zelenskyy canceled all his upcoming foreign visits.
