NATO member states plan to send a "clear signal" that Ukraine's future lies with the Alliance. This will happen in July at the NATO summit in Vilnius.
This was stated by NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg during a briefing.
Despite the situation on the battlefield, NATO is confident that Ukraine will eventually become a member of the Alliance. Stoltenberg did not explain what exactly this signal would be.
"We will send a clear message of support and solidarity with Ukraine, which will send a signal that Ukraine's future is in NATO," he said.
