Against the backdrop of a new Russian offensive on various fronts in Ukraine, Athens is studying a list of old and new requests from Kyiv for military assistance from the reserves of the Greek Armed Forces.

At the same time, Greece has pledged to continue to provide assistance to Kyiv as long as it does not negatively affect the deterrent power of the Greek armed forces themselves.

“In other words, it will not provide anti-aircraft systems until they are replaced with new ones,” the journalists explained.

Ukraine's new requests are addressed to all NATO partners that provide material support to Kyiv.

The requests for Greece include missiles for anti-aircraft systems, Patriot, and S-300 systems. Ukraine would also like to receive:

  • spare parts for F-16 fighter jets and F-16s themselves;
  • RM-70 multiple-launch rocket systems;
  • engineering equipment;
  • Harpoon anti-ship systems;
  • artillery shells of 155, 152, 122, and 102 mm caliber
  • mortar and tank shells of 125, 120, 105, 30, 35, and 40 mm caliber.
