The Russian FSB is looking for agents in Canada

The Federal Security Service of the Russian Federation in Canada is trying to find foreigners who maintain contact with the intelligence services of different countries of the world and recruit them into the service of Moscow.

This was reported by the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine. It is noted that the search for double agents occurs among immigrants from Russia and other countries that were part of or under the influence of the USSR. The Main Intelligence Directorate informed that the Kremlin intelligence service is promoting its calls, in particular, through the Russian-language media in Canada.

“For example, in March 2024, the corresponding FSB appeal was distributed in the form of a postcard appendix to the printed publication “Our Canada” - this is a newspaper distributed free of charge in “European goods” stores, Russian restaurants, subways, individual schools, hospitals and residential complexes of the city.” Toronto: It is interesting that this publication positions itself as pro-democracy and anti-Putin, but can only be a cover and a way to distract local security structures,” the intelligence report says.
