The US predicts a catastrophic shortage of ammunition in Ukraine

According to internal US estimates, by spring Ukraine will face a potentially "catastrophic" shortage of ammunition and air defense equipment.

Unnamed American officials told ABC TV about this.

The interlocutors of the TV channel called "the end of March" a particularly crucial time for Ukrainian troops if Congress does not approve a project with funding for Ukraine.

Another official said it would be difficult to determine exactly when the situation for Ukrainian troops might deteriorate, but noted that the deficit is expected to grow until spring.

"The tipping point is starting now, and it will gradually deteriorate throughout the spring and into the summer. So, this period we are entering is critical," said a representative of the US Defense Department.
