Jun 20, 2023

On June 19, the state budget of Ukraine received funding from the World Bank in the amount of 63 million euros. The funds will be used to pay teachers and civil servants.

This was reported by the Ministry of Finance of Ukraine.

The funds were provided by the International Development Association (IDA) on preferential terms under the World Bank's Public Expenditure Support for Sustainable Governance in Ukraine (PEACE) project. The loan has a maturity of 10 years with a four-year grace period.

The financing will partially reimburse the state budget expenditures made to pay salaries to civil servants and pedagogical workers for February and March 2023.
