Tusk to unveil composition of new Polish government on Friday

The head of the Civic Platform, Donald Tusk, who is to become the next Prime Minister of Poland, will present the composition of his government on Friday.

This was reported by TVN24 journalist Katarzyna Kolenda-Zaleska.

"Tomorrow, Donald Tusk will present the entire government. Together with the new prime minister, all the new ministers will appear," Kolenda-Zaleska wrote on her Twitter account (X).

According to TVN24, the new government will include 19 heads of ministries and at least four ministers of the Council of Ministers.

The leader of the Polish Peasant Party (PiS), Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz, is expected to become Minister of Defense and Deputy Prime Minister.

Radoslaw Sikorski is returning to the post of Foreign Minister.

Adam Szlapka, the leader of the Nowoczesna party, is to be appointed to another position in the foreign policy bloc, the Minister for EU Affairs.

The post of Minister of Agriculture will be held by Czesław Sekerski of the Law and Justice. The future Minister of Infrastructure should also be a representative of the "peasants" - Dariusz Klimczak is being appointed to this position.
