The High Anti-Corruption Court has confiscated the property of Russian oligarch Alexander Verkhovsky to Ukraine's revenue. This was reported by the SBU.
The recovery was applied to a large fishing trawler, Bukhta Sokolovskaya, which was being completed in Mykolaiv before the full-scale invasion of Russia.
The nationalized trawler was part of the merchant fleet of the sanctioned oligarch, who is a member of the Kremlin's inner circle. Verkhovsky is also one of the financial donors of the Russian war against Ukraine.
The cost of the industrial vessel is over a billion hryvnias.
“The nationalized trawler was a part of the trade ‘fleet’ of a sanctioned oligarch who is a member of the Kremlin's inner circle. Verkhovskyi is also one of the financial donors of the Russian war against Ukraine,” the SBU said.
