Ukraine receives thousands of solar panels from the EU

Ukraine has received about 5.8 thousand solar panels with a total capacity of about 2 MW for hospitals as part of the European Commission's Ray of Hope project.

This was reported by RBC-Ukraine with reference to the press service of the Ministry of Energy.

The initiative was previously announced by European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen.

The energy equipment will be delivered to healthcare facilities in the Zhytomyr, Volyn, Khmelnytskyi, Kyiv, and Odesa regions.

Additional equipment for the installation of solar panels will be purchased at the expense of the Energy Support Fund of Ukraine. In the future, the number of healthcare facilities to which the equipment will be transferred will increase, the press service said.
