Ukraine to receive Hawk air defense system battery from Spain
Spain will provide Ukraine with a new additional battery of Hawk air defense systems. The delivery of the system is scheduled for September.
This was reported by RBC-Ukraine with reference to the press service of the Spanish Ministry of Defense.
As noted, Spanish Defense Minister Margarita Robles told her Ukrainian counterpart Rustem Umerov in detail about the upcoming supply of military equipment.
The new package will include an additional battery of the MIM-23 Hawk anti-aircraft missile system. The system is scheduled to be delivered in September.
At the same time, Robles also spoke about the important progress in the training of Ukrainian servicemen in Spain, whose number has reached 5,000.
Umerov thanked Spain for its important and unconditional support.
