Ukrainian Armed Forces repel invaders near Donetsk

Reports about the successes of the Ukrainian Armed Forces near Avdiivka have appeared on the Internet. They are cited by the pro-Ukrainian telegram channel Donbas Operative.

It states that "our people have taken Spartak, the 34th Brigade is advancing to Donetsk from the north."

But there are doubts. Firstly, Spartak has been occupied since 2014, and secondly, there is no 34th Brigade in the Ukrainian Armed Forces (although there is the 34th Separate Motorized Battalion).

As a reminder, the Russian occupiers have publicly stated that Avdiivka is the second target of their winter-spring offensive after Bakhmut. Indeed, in the first quarter of 2023, the aggressor managed to capture neighboring small settlements (Vodiane, Opytne, Kamianka, Vesele, Krasnohorivka) with heavy losses and surround the city on three sides.

However, in April, the aggressor made no progress. Moreover, in the last days of the month, racist propagandists admitted the loss of positions near Avdiivka.

In turn, a national military analyst and authoritative compiler of frontline maps, DeepState, yesterday marked on an up-to-date map tangible advances of the Ukrainian Armed Forces to the east and north of Avdiivka.
