US sanctions companies that help Iran

Apr 19, 2023

On Wednesday, the United States imposed sanctions on one individual and six legal entities that were named as members of a network to facilitate Iran's drone program and other military programs.

This is stated in a statement by the US Treasury Department.

The US sanctions, among other things, are directed against the head of the Iranian company Pardazan System (which has been under restrictions since 2018) Namad Arman, as well as front companies and suppliers of this company in Iran, Malaysia, Hong Kong, and China, which provided the purchase of goods and technologies for Pardazan Systems.

The US Treasury Department's restrictive measures also apply to Iranian citizen Mehdi Khoshgadam, who is the CEO of Pardazan Systems and responsible for the company's circumvention of sanctions.

"Iran's proliferation of drones and other weapons continues to destabilize the Middle East and beyond," the US Treasury Department said in a statement.
