The head of the European Commission, Ursula von der Leyen, believes that it is up to Ukraine to decide whether to hold elections during martial law.
Von der Leyen said this on Wednesday at a briefing in Brussels, according to Yevropeiska Pravda.
The head of the European Commission was answering a question about the most acceptable scenario for the Ukrainian elections in the context of the expiration of the powers of the president and parliament.
"The elections in Ukraine are an internal affair of Ukraine, and it is not for me to comment on it," von der Leyen said.
