War in Ukraine disrupted Russia's national strategy, - UK intelligence
The war that Russia has unleashed against Ukraine has violated the established national strategy of the aggressor country.
This was reported by the British Ministry of Defense on Twitter.
It is noted that Russia has pulled together military formations from across the country to counter Ukraine's counteroffensive.
It is reported that in Zaporizhzhia region, the 58th Combined Arms Army is defending strongly fortified borders. At the same time, it usually ensures the security of the Caucasus region of Russia.
According to intelligence, in the area of Velyka Novosilka, the 5th Combined Arms Army and Marines are holding the front. They are usually based at a distance of 7,000 kilometers as a counterweight to the Chinese force.
As for Bakhmut, the defense there is mainly formed around airborne regiments, which are usually deployed in western Russia. There they act as an elite rapid reaction force in case of tensions with NATO.
"The way Russia is accepting risks across Eurasia highlights how the war has dislocated Russia’s established national strategy," the British intelligence service added.
