War will not end "by the end of the year" or "next spring"

Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Reintegration of the Temporarily Occupied Territories Iryna Vereshchuk noted that the path to victory in the war will be long and difficult, so Ukrainians should prepare for a long struggle.

She expressed this opinion in Telegram, Ukrinform reports.

"We have to be honest. In this war, the path to victory will be long and difficult. "2-3 weeks", "by the end of the year", "next spring" - all this is not true. We must prepare for a long struggle. Citizens and the government - everyone must prepare for a long and difficult war. Only then will we win," Vereshchuk believes.

She also noted what everyone in their place can do to win:

"We are preparing for a marathon, not a sprint, for a fight of twelve rounds, not three. We take on only realistic things, and do not waste resources and time on things that do not work. We keep the focus on the main things and ignore the rest. We have to get used to keeping our priorities straight and not scattering ourselves. Corruption is high treason. If we don't do it hard, it won't work. Politicking and shouting down is a moratorium. Strife is for after the war."

Vereshchuk also called for doing our best and supporting each other.

"That is why we resisted last year. That is why we will eventually win," the official emphasized.
