The US administration emphasizes that there can be no negotiations on Ukraine without Ukraine and that the readiness to negotiate with Russia should be determined by the Ukrainian leadership.
This was stated during a briefing by the coordinator of the White House National Security Council, John Kirby, Censor.NET reports citing Ukrinform.
"Only President Zelenskyy can determine whether and when he is ready to negotiate, in what context, and about what. We believe that there can be no negotiations about Ukraine without Ukraine," the White House spokesman said.
This is how he responded to a request to comment on publications with signals from Kyiv that the Ukrainian side is ready to negotiate with Moscow over Crimea under certain conditions.
