White House comments on fierce fighting in Bakhmut

The White House believes that Bakhmut has become a meat grinder for Russia. Russia's losses during the offensive cost them too much.
This was stated by National Security Council Coordinator John Kirby during a telephone briefing, Ukrinform reports.
"This offensive on the city of Bakhmut has cost Russia terribly dearly. And, as I said, it has become a meat grinder for them in a way," Kirby said.
He added that the figures of losses announced by Washington in May are accurate and true. However, according to him, since then, the Russians have been losing even more strength every day.
