Zelenskyy met with the Prime Minister of Qatar
President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy met with Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Qatar Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani in Kyiv.
"We appreciate this visit and consider it an important manifestation of Qatar's support and solidarity with our country. We are sincerely grateful for all the assistance received from Qatar," Zelensky said.
He noted the importance of the first visit of a Qatari official to Ukraine. For his part, Mohammad bin Abdulrahman Al Thani conveyed greetings from the Emir of Qatar and announced the state's intention to allocate $100 million to support humanitarian needs. US dollars to support the humanitarian needs of Ukraine.
The President of Ukraine informed his interlocutor about Russia's daily missile attacks on Odesa, its attempts to destroy the historic center of the city, which is under UNESCO protection, and the civilian port infrastructure. In this context, the parties discussed further steps to ensure global food security and the continued safe functioning of the "grain corridor".
Particular attention was paid to the implementation of the Ukrainian peace formula and the plan for the restoration of Ukraine. The Head of State emphasized the opportunities for Qatari investment funds and business circles to participate in the implementation of specific programs of development and restoration of our country.
