Zelenskyy expresses condolences to Poland

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy has expressed condolences to Poland on the 13th anniversary of the crash of the presidential plane near Smolensk, which killed the presidential couple and dozens of representatives of the country's political elite.

Zelensky posted a message on his Twitter in Ukrainian and Polish.

"Today, on the 13th anniversary of the Smolensk disaster, we unite in sorrow with the Polish people and honor the memory of Polish President Lech Kaczynski, his wife, and all those who died in the name of serving their country. Eternal memory!" - Zelenskyy wrote.

A number of commemorative events are taking place in Poland on the tragic anniversary.

President Andrzej Duda and his wife have already laid flowers at the gravesite of the Kaczynski couple and are going to visit the graves of other victims of the disaster.
