EU may transfer 1 million munitions to Ukraine during this year

Estonia has estimated when the EU will be able to fulfill its plan to supply 1 million units of ammunition to Ukraine. They believe that this could happen during 2023.

This was stated by Estonian Foreign Minister Margus Tsahkna, RBC-Ukraine reports with reference to his statement after arriving in Luxembourg for the meeting of the EU foreign ministers.

"I am sure that the European Union will be able to supply this one million munitions during this year, which is what we have agreed upon. Because Ukraine desperately needs it," Tsakhna believes.

It should be noted that, the head of the European Union diplomacy, Josep Borrell, also stated in Luxembourg that the EU countries would look for a quick compromise on the order of joint order of ammunition for Ukraine.

We shall remind you that on 20 March, the EU member states agreed a plan under which they promised to transfer 1 million shells per year to Ukraine.
