Intelligence warns of provocations by Russians on May 9

The Russian invaders are probably preparing provocations for May 9. In particular, attacks on the civilian population of the Russian border regions under the guise of the Ukrainian military are not excluded.

This was announced by a representative of the Defence Intelligence of Ukraine Andriy Yusov during a telethon.

He noted that given the ongoing war, various incidents and provocations are possible any day, regardless of the date. However, given that the ideology of "victory" is extremely important for modern Russia, the risk of provocations is further increased on May 9.

Yusov also commented on the information disseminated by the National Resistance Center that Russian soldiers in the Bryansk and Kursk regions were issued with the uniforms of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

"Since 2014, the occupiers have been using this kind of provocation, and it is possible that we will face it again. In this situation, such provocations may be directed by the Russian special services against the Russian civilian population, timed to certain dates, for example, May 9," Yusov said.

He emphasized that no one in Ukraine or the rest of the world would believe in such performances. But this does not mean that there will be no provocations. In particular, there is a risk that a provocation will be directed against Belarus to draw it into a war against Ukraine.
