The Turkish government intends to resume the grain deal after Russia's withdrawal, without alternative routes.

This is reported by the Turkish media outlet NTV.

A source in the Turkish Ministry of Defense said that Ankara's efforts are aimed at restoring the grain deal and that "no work is being done outside of it".

"Other countries are working on alternative routes. We are also closely following these developments. The problem is that merchant ships can safely enter the Turkish straits in the face of conflict. There are no problems with ships passing through the straits that reach the Turkish straits," he said.

As a reminder, in July, Russia announced that it was withdrawing from the grain deal due to the alleged failure to fulfill its terms. At the same time, the Russian army began shelling Ukrainian ports and grain infrastructure in southern Ukraine.
