Biden and Trump agree to debate with specific rules
The headquarters of US presidential candidates Joe Biden and Donald Trump have agreed on the rules of the first election debate.
This was reported by RBC-Ukraine with reference to CNN.
It is reported that Biden and Trump will speak without drafts and will be present in the audience of the CNN studio (this channel is the organizer of the first debate - ed.). It is also interesting that the candidates have agreed to speak on a single podium, but their places will be determined by a coin toss.
During the speech, the microphone will be turned on only for the candidate who is speaking at that moment. They will not be allowed to take props or pre-written notes on stage - they will only be given a pen, a notebook, and a bottle of water.
In addition, there will be no audience in the hall, and the debate will last 90 minutes with two commercial breaks. During the commercials, neither Trump nor Biden will be able to communicate with representatives of their campaigns.
"But as in the past, moderators will use all the tools at their disposal to ensure that time is kept on time and that the debate is civilized," CNN said.
