The Eastern Group of Forces reported that 52,000 Russian occupiers are concentrated in the Bakhmut direction.
A total of about 150,000 Russian troops are stationed in the eastern direction, Ilya Yevlash, the head of the press service of the Eastern Group of Forces, said on the air of the telethon.
"They keep 52,000 personnel and approximately 274 tanks there, more than a thousand armored combat vehicles, as well as 150 artillery systems and a little more than 120 rocket launchers," the spokesman informed.
He noted that in the Eastern direction, the Rashists keep quite a lot of military equipment: about a thousand tanks, about three thousand armored fighting vehicles, about a thousand artillery systems, etc.
"A powerful group, but thanks to our skillful actions, thanks to our courage, bravery, and experience of our defenders, we hold them and do not let them break through our defense. Even more, with smaller forces, having the dominance of the enemy in the air, we continue to move forward and even with smaller losses. The enemy's losses usually exceed ours by seven to eight times, which contradicts any military logic and military science and shows the courage, heroism, courage of our defense forces of Ukraine," Yevlash emphasized.-
The spokesman said that there are also so-called volunteer Russian formations in the Eastern direction, the composition of which reaches several thousand fighters.
"We note that there is rather poor coordination and lack of interaction between them. But nevertheless, they have weapons, they continue to shoot, and they need destruction, effective fire damage, which we, in principle, effectively cope with - our artillery, our drones, our guys," Yevlash said.-
