Zelensky discusses strengthening air defense with Maloney
President Volodymyr Zelenskyy had a phone conversation with Prime Minister of Italy Giorgio Meloni. They discussed the tenth aid package to Italy and the strengthening of Ukraine's air defense.
This was reported by RBC-Ukraine with reference to the president's Telegram channel.
According to the President, during the talks, he told Meloni about the current situation on the battlefield. In particular, the parties raised the issue of continuing military support for Ukraine and accelerating the provision of the 10th aid package from Italy.
“We agreed to strengthen coordination at the level of European leaders to discuss the security situation in the region and increase the supply of air defense systems to Ukraine,” he added.
According to ANSA, Meloni, in turn, expressed “360-degree” support for Ukraine and confirmed her readiness to hold a conference on recovery and reconstruction in Rome in 2025.
