The Ukrainian Ministry of Defense and the Turkish Company Baykar Makina signed an agreement on Monday to build a service center for the repair and maintenance of unmanned aerial vehicles in Ukraine.
This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine.
The agreement on the establishment of a service center for Turkish drones was concluded in the development of the intergovernmental agreement between Ukraine and Turkey on cooperation in the field of high technology, aviation, and space industries, which entered into force in January this year.
The Defense Ministry notes that this step will significantly strengthen cooperation between Kyiv and Ankara in the defense sector and will make a significant contribution to strengthening Ukraine's defense capabilities and bring Ukraine's victory closer.
State Secretary of the Ukrainian Defense Ministry Kostyantyn Vashchenko noted that the Baykar drone repair and maintenance center will be established "in the near future."
