Biden comments on Russia's plans to deploy nuclear weapons in Belarus

US President Joe Biden told reporters on Tuesday that he was concerned about Russia's plans to deploy tactical nuclear weapons in Belarus.

The head of the White House was quoted by CNN.

Commenting on Russian President Vladimir Putin's announcement of his intention to deploy nuclear weapons in Belarus, Biden expressed "concern".

"They haven't done it yet unless something happened while I was in the helicopter. Of course, I'm concerned about that," the US president said.

He reiterated his position on the danger of Russia's nuclear rhetoric.

"What have I been talking to you guys about over the last year? It's a dangerous conversation, and it's a worrisome conversation," the US president added.

As you know, on March 25, Russian President Vladimir Putin announced plans to deploy tactical nuclear weapons in Belarus. Moscow promised to complete the construction of a special storage facility for tactical nuclear weapons there by early July.
