The British Defence Ministry is not going to transfer Eurofighter Typhoon fighters to Ukraine. But London is ready to help with the training of Ukrainian pilots in the long term.

This is reported with reference to a statement made by British Defence Secretary Ben Wallace during a press conference in Reykjavik.

“Britain is not going to donate any fighter jets to Ukraine this time. We have repeatedly stated that Typhoon fighters will not be the right choice," Wallace said.

We shall remind you, earlier it became known that Britain already this summer will begin to train Ukrainian pilots.

At the same time, British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak agreed with his Dutch counterpart Mark Rutte to create a coalition for the purchase of F-16s for Ukraine.

Britain itself has repeatedly ruled out the possibility of transferring its fighters to Ukraine. As explained in London, they can take such a decision, but with the withdrawal of Russian troops from the occupied territories. That is, in fact, after Ukraine's victory in the war.
