Defense Minister of Canada Anita Anand on Wednesday announced the allocation of a new $ 47 million package of military aid to Ukraine, which will include winter uniforms for Ukrainian soldiers.
This was reported by the CBC.
Canada's new military aid package includes mostly "non-lethal equipment," namely 500,000 pieces of winter military clothing, which Ottawa specializes in.
"We know winter is coming. And Canada has particular expertise in winter clothing and combat. And we will be handing over those clothes in the coming weeks," Anand said before the NATO ministerial meeting in Brussels.
Also included in the package is $15.2 million worth of military equipment, primarily artillery shells, and satellite communications support (two million dollars).
