The Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK) may send its military to Ukraine to support the Russian Federation (RF). The possibility of such a scenario is very likely.
This was reported by RBC-Ukraine with reference to South Korean Defense Minister Kim Yong-hyun, as quoted by The Korea Times.
During his address to lawmakers at a parliamentary hearing, the minister recalled that Russia and the DPRK had signed a mutual agreement that is similar to a military alliance.
“Since Russia and North Korea have signed a mutual treaty similar to a military alliance, the possibility of such a deployment (sending troops to Ukraine - ed.) is very likely,” the minister said.
In particular, he added that the recent report of DPRK military deaths in the temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine is also likely to be “true.”
