Banks in the Netherlands have unfrozen about EUR 560 million of Russian assets. This was due to the granting of exceptions for incomplete payments and the removal of authorized owners.”
This was reported by RBC-Ukraine with reference to Telegraaf.
According to the publication, in January, the country's parliament announced that the total amount of frozen Russian assets would be 660 million euros. However, by July 1, 97.2 million euros had been blocked.
The document obtained by the publication states that the unfreezing of the funds was “due to the granting of exceptions for incomplete payments and the removal of authorized owners.”
It is known that 430 million euros belong to two companies of the Russian Federation. In particular, EUR 230 million from a particular company was no longer subject to freezing. This is due to the fact that the company was “formally removed” from its Russian owner through a special structure.
