The Estonian government has decided to provide additional military aid to Ukraine. In particular, a batch of handguns and ammunition.
This was stated by Estonian Defense Minister Hanno Pevkur, according to the press service of the Estonian Ministry of Defense.
"We must support Ukraine in their fight against the continuing Russian aggression. Once again, we have found an opportunity where Estonia can lend a helping hand. The Russian Federation cannot gain anything from this aggression," he said.
The Minister called on Ukraine's allies to speed up the provision of military assistance and to increase the potential of their defense industry.
To date, the amount of military assistance provided by Estonia to Ukraine has exceeded 400 million euros, which is more than 1% of Estonia's GDP.
