This was stated by military expert, veteran of the Russian-Ukrainian war, NGU reserve major Oleksiy Hetman in a commentary to the RBC-Ukraine YouTube channel.
“We should be worried. Because these missiles are not long-range, and many people are so dismissive: “Well, they are not long-range, so it's not so scary for those who are farther from the front line or from the state borders,” Hetman said.
On the contrary, he said, the Russians have missiles that fire at a short range, such as the S-300. However, they are not highly accurate, but rather used to put pressure on the civilian population.
“This missile cannot hit accurately. And Iranian missiles are high-precision missiles, although not long-range. They can do it. What conclusion can be drawn from this? That the next massive shelling, and they do it once a month and a half, we are talking about a massive one with more than 100 missiles, what they produce per month, may increase the number of ballistic missile attacks on targets deep in our country,” the expert explained.
