This was reported by RBC-Ukraine with reference to a statement following the ministerial meeting in Rome, published on the website of the Italian Foreign Ministry.

The statement notes that Tehran must immediately cease all support for Russia's illegal and unjustified war against Ukraine and “stop such transfers of ballistic missiles, UAVs and related technologies that pose a direct threat to the Ukrainian people, as well as to European and international security in a broader sense.”

The ministers called the transfer of ballistic missiles “a further escalation of Iran's military support for Russia's aggressive war against Ukraine” and emphasized that Russian aggression is a flagrant violation of international law, including the UN Charter.

“We remain steadfast in our commitment to hold Iran accountable for its unacceptable support of Russia's illegal war in Ukraine, which further undermines global security,” the document reads.

The statement was signed by the foreign ministers of Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, the United Kingdom and the United States, as well as EU High Representative Josep Borrell.
