Germany announces new deliveries of IRIS-T to Ukraine
Germany has provided Ukraine with new IRIS-T air defense systems. These are medium-range (SLM) and short-range (SLS) air defense systems.
This was reported by RBC-Ukraine with reference to Christian Freuding, head of the special staff for Ukraine at the German Defense Ministry, in an interview with RND.
According to him, last week Germany delivered an IRIS-T SLM battery along with two IRIS-T SLS launchers.
Freuding added that this year Germany will deliver two more anti-aircraft systems to Ukraine.
The German general also said that the supply of light armored vehicles and main battle tanks, as well as a significant amount of artillery ammunition, would continue.
It is worth noting that the IRIS-T SLM battery (medium-range air defense system) was co-financed by Norway through a German initiative.
